Young German-Russian soprano Anastasiya Taratorkina, Winner of the 70th ARD International Music Competition, studied at the Murov Music-College, obtained her Bachelor's Degree at the Glinka Conservatory and her Master's Degree with distinction at the  Carl Maria von Weber Music Conservatory in Dresden, working with Prof. Egudina and Prof. Hendrikje Wangemann.

Masterclasses and Workshops with Elena Zaremba, Julia Novikova, Dmitro Popov and Ursula Langmeier completed her studies.

 

Since the 2022/23 season, Mrs Taratorkina is a resident artist at  Hessian State Theatre Wiesbaden, where she so far made highly successful and acclaimed debuts as GILDA in Verdi’s “Rigoletto”, SOPHIE in R. Strauss’ “Der Rosenkavalier”, GRETEL in Humperdinck’s “Hänsel & Gretel”, MARZELLINE in Beethoven’s “Fidelio", in the Mozart-roles of SUSANNA in “Le Nozze di Figaro” and PAMINA in  “Die Zauberflöte”, in the Wagner-parts of WOGLINDE in “Das Rheingold" & "Die Götterdämmerung" and as VALENCIENNE in Lehár's "The Merry Widow", which also led her as jump-in on a short call in stage direction by Barrie Kosky and conducted by Patrick Hahn to the Opera Zürich.


Furthermore, she sang a Solo-Song.Recital in Wiesbaden and created the title part of ORYX in Søren Nils Eichberg's WORLD PREMIERE <Oryx and Crake>, which was nominated as <Best World-Premiere> in the Annual Book of Magazine OPERNWELT and at the International Opera Awards; and appeared as ANNA in Verdi’s “Nabucco alongside Anna Netrebko and Zeljko Lučić at the Maifestspiele Wiesbaden;

where she in the 2023/24 season also will appear as NANETTA in Verdi’s "Falstaff" in stage direction of Noah L. Perktold and under the baton of Antonello Allemandi, as ÄNNCHEN in Weber's "Der Freischütz"" under the baton of Johannes Klumpp and in stage direction by Clemens Bechtel, SUSANNA in  "Le Nozze di Figaro" and WOGLINDE & STIMME DES WALDVOGELS in Wagner's "Der Ring des Nibelungen".


Further future commitments include a residence-contract at the Badisches Staatstheater Karlsruhe (roles to be announced soon),  VALENCIENNE in "Die Lustige Witwe" at Opera Zürich, as well as a Solo-Recital at Festival Vilagarcia.

 

Next to Opera Zürich, guest-commitments led Mrs. Taratorkina as GILDA in "Rigoletto" to the Opera Bonn (house-debut), as EURIDICE in Monteverdi’s “L’Orfeo” alongside Rolando Villazón and Eric Jurenas, and accompanied by the Lautten Company Berlin  at the  Semperoper Dresden, KUCHTIK in Dvořák's "Rusalka" with the NDR Elbphilharmonieorchester during the International Hamburg Music Festival at the  Elbphilharmonie;  Opera-Galaswith Collegium Music Basel  at the Concerthall Stadtcasino Basel; and under the baton of Heiko Matthias Förster at the Tonhalle Zürich, <Barock glanzvoll>  at Frauenkirche Dresden, a concert with the Limburger Domsingknaben at the Dom Limburg and a Chamber-Music-Concert-Tour with songs by Clara Schumann and French Composers at a.o. the Mozart-Festival Würzbug, the Homburger Master Concerts, the Black-Forrest Music Festival and the Studio 2 / Bavarian Radio.

Also transmitted by Saarländischer Rundfunk and Bayerischer Rundfunk;

and overtaking performances on a short call, she made her debuts as SUSANNA in  "Le Nozze di Figaro"  at Oper Frankfurt and the Staatstheater Meiningen

 

Her concert-repertoire includes compositions by  Brahms, Duparc, Fauré, Marx, Saint-Saëns, Schubert, Clara and Robert Schumann, R. Strauss', Kurt Weill, as well by many Russian composers. 

 

Mrs Taratorkina had the pleasure, to work with conductors and stage directors such as Aldan Gatt, Alan Gilbert, Patrick Hahn, Killian Farrell, Michael Güttler, Nikolaus Habjan, Evelyn Herlitzius, Will Humburg, Konrad Junghänel, Wolfgang Katschner, Daniela Kerck, Johannes Klump, Uwe Eric Laufenberg or Jürgen R. Weber.

 

In September 2021, Anastasiya Taratorkina won the 1. Prize and the Audience Award at the prestigious 70. ARD International Music Competition, hailed by the prominent jury, with Dame Felicity Lott (Chairlady), Ben Heppner, Robert Holl, Johann Martin Kränzle, Deborah Polaski, Gerhild Romberger and Bo Skovhus, as "outstanding”, “superb” and “a class of her own".  

 

She was laureate of the <47. Russia wide competition of all Russian Conservatories> in St. Petersburg and 1 of only 10 Russia-wide chosen finalists at the <Grand Opera Competition 2019> by Moscow's TV "Rosa Kultura", with Nelly Miricioiu, Ekaterina Semenchuk, Alex Everaert and Dmitry Bergmann in the jury;

and is a recipient of the Muslim Magomaev Foundation Scholarship / Moscow and the Lydia Myasnikova Foundation Scholarship  / Novosibirsk and the Deutschlandstipendium.
