Young German-Russian soprano Anastasiya Taratorkina, 1st Prize & Audience Award Winner of the 70th ARD International Music Competition is since the season 2024/25 member of the ensemble at Badisches Staatstheater Karlsruhe, where she makes her debuts as ŒNONE in Lemoyen's "Phèdre" and ADELE in J. Strauß "Die Fledermaus", overtakes the SOLO-SOPRANO-PART in Mozart's "Requiem", sings a Solo-Song-Recital and embodies GRETEL in Humperdinck's "Hänsel & Gretel".

 

Furthermore, guest-appearances for 24/25 see SOPHIE in Richard Strauss "Der Rosenkavalier" as house-debut at theAalto Music Theatre Essen, as VALENCIENNE in Lehár's "Die Lustige Witwe" in stage direction of Barrie Kosky at the Opernhaus Zürich and as SOPRANO with Carl Offs "Carmina Burana" at the Schwarzwald Musikfestival.

 

Previous guest-contracts led her as GILDA in "Rigoletto" to the Opera Bonn (house-debut), as EURIDICE in Monteverdi’s “L’Orfeo” alongside Rolando Villazón and Eric Jurenas, and accompanied by the lautten company BERLIN  at the  Semperoper Dresden, as KUCHTIK in Dvořák's "Rusalka" with the NDR Elbphilharmonieorchester during the International Hamburg Music Festival to the  Elbphilharmonie.

 

And jump-ins on a short call brought her several times as SUSANNA in Mozart's "Le Nozze di Figaro" to the Oper Frankfurt, as well as to the Semperoper Dresden and the Staatstheater Meiningen; and WOGLINDE in Wagner's "Das Rheingold" to the Theater Bern.


Before her commitment in Karlsruhe, Mrs Taratorkina was a member of the Hessisches Staatstheater Wiesbaden, making 13 debuts in only 2 seasons as highly celebrated GILDA in Verdi’s “Rigoletto" and NANNETTA in “Falstaff", SOPHIE in “Der Rosenkavalier”, GRETEL in “Hänsel & Gretel”, MARZELLINE in Beethoven’s “Fidelio", ÄNNCHEN in von Weber's “Der Freischütz", SUSANNA in Mozart's “Le Nozze di Figaro” and PAMINA in  “Die Zauberflöte”, VALENCIENNE in Lehár's "Die Lustige Witwe", as well as in the Wagner-parts of WOGLINDE in “Das Rheingold" & "Die Götterdämmerung" and as STIMME des WALDVOGELS in "Siegfried".

Furthermore, she sang a Solo-Song-Recital and created the title part of ORYX in Søren Nils Eichberg's WORLD PREMIERE <Oryx and Crake>, which was nominated as <Best World-Premiere> in the Annual Book of Magazine OPERNWELT and at the International Opera Awards.

And alongside Anna Netrebko and Zeljko Lučić appeared as ANNA in Verdi’s “Nabucco at the Maifestspiele Wiesbaden; where she also was seene and heard as NANETTA in Verdi’s "Falstaff", as ÄNNCHEN in Weber's "Der Freischütz", as SUSANNA in  "Le Nozze di Figaro" and WOGLINDE & STIMME DES WALDVOGELS in Wagner's "Der Ring des Nibelungen".


In addition, she sang Opera-Galas with Collegium Music Basel  at the Concerthall Stadtcasino Basel and at the Tonhalle Zürich.; <Shiny Baroque>  at the Frauenkirche Dresden, a concert with the Limburger Domsingknaben at the Dom zu Limburg, a Concert with Baroque Music under Konrad Junhänel at the Casino Wiesbaden, and on a Chamber-Music-Concert-Tour works by Clara Schumann and by French Composers at a.o. the Mozart-Festival Würzbug, the Homburger Meisterkonzerte, the Schwarzwald Music Festival and the Studio 2 / BR (Bayerischer Rundfunk Bavarian Radio Station); also transmitted and reordered by SR (Saarländischer Rundfunk) and BR (Bayerischer Rundfunk)

 

Her concert-repertoire includes compositions by  Brahms, Duparc, Fauré, Marx, Saint-Saëns, Schubert, Clara and Robert Schumann, R. Strauss', Kurt Weill, as well by many Russian composers. 

 

Mrs Taratorkina had the pleasure, to work with conductors and stage directors such as Antonello Allemandi, Clemens Bechtel,  Christoph von Bernuth, Attilio Cremonesi, Aldan Gatt, Alan Gilbert, Patrick Hahn, Killian Farrell, Heiko M. Förster, Michael Güttler, Nikolaus Habjan, Evelyn Herlitzius, Will Humburg, Konrad Junghänel, Wolfgang Katschner, Daniela Kerck, Johannes Klumpp, Uwe Eric Laufenberg, Noah L. Perktold or Jürgen R. Weber.

 

Anastasiya Taratorkina studied at the Murov Music-College, obtained her Bachelor's Degree at the Glinka Conservatory and her Master's Degree with distinction at the  Carl Maria von Weber Music Conservatory in Dresden, working with Prof. Egudina and Prof. Hendrikje Wangemann.

 

She is 1. Prize Winner and the Audience Award Winner at the 70th ARD International Music Competition, hailed by the prominent jury, with Dame Felicity Lott (Chairlady), Ben Heppner, Robert Holl, Johann Martin Kränzle, Deborah Polaski, Gerhild Romberger and Bo Skovhus, as "outstanding”, “superb” and “a class of her own". 

In addition, she was a laureate of the <47. Russia wide competition of all Russian Conservatories> in St. Petersburg and 1 of only 10 Russia-wide chosen finalists at the <Grand Opera Competition 2019> by Moscow's TV "Rosa Kultura", with Nelly Miricioiu, Ekaterina Semenchuk, Alex Everaert and Dmitry Bergmann in the jury;

and is a recipient of the Muslim Magomaev Foundation Scholarship / Moscow and the Lydia Myasnikova Foundation Scholarship  / Novosibirsk and the Deutschlandstipendium.
